** AND A FOOTNOTE: THERE IS NO RETIREMENT -- EVER!!!

Duggars...one more time

I found this on the Duggar family website...I printed it out and everyone in my family will receive their very own copy. I know how hectic life can be and sometimes we don't always get the time to blog hop...So here it is!! May you love it just as much as I did!

Always use soft words, even when you don’t feel well.

Always display kind actions and joyful attitudes, even if you have been mistreated.

Have the right response by quickly forgiving others in your heart even before they ask.

Always be enthusiastic and look for opportunities to praise others' character.

Always deflect praise and be grateful to God and others for the ways they have benefited your life.

Always use manners and be respectful of others and their belongings.

Always do what is right, even when others may not, or when no one is looking.
Thank God for how He made you, for what He has given you and everything He allows you to go through. (Romans 8:28)

Don’t mock or put others down. Develop compassion and pray for others.

Never argue, complain, or blame. Quickly admit when you have done wrong and ask for forgiveness (even if you were only 10% at fault). Don't wait till you’re caught. Be sure your sins will find you out. He who covers his sin will not prosper, but he that confesses and forsakes it shall find mercy.

Have a tough accountability/prayer partner to daily share your heart with and to keep you in line (your parents, spouse). The power of sin is in secrecy.

Be attentive and look for ways to serve others with sincere motives and no thought of self-gain.

Think pure thoughts (Philippians 4:8, Romans 13:14).

Always give a good report of others. Don't gossip! Never tale-bear unless physical harm will come to someone. (Use Matthew 18.)

Never raise a hand to hit.
Never raise a foot to kick.
Never raise an object to throw.
Never raise a voice to yell.
Never raise an eye to scowl.
Use one toy/activity at a time. Share!

Do your best to keep your surroundings neat, clean and organized.

Never let the sun go down on your wrath. (Don’t go to bed angry or guilty)

Amendment J.O.Y. -
Put Jesus first, Others second, Yourself last.

I have my eye on you...

Thursday's with Tiffiny

Thursday's with me!! Whoo-Hoo!! You guys are so stinkin lucky to have a good read every Thursday..well maybe not every Thursday considering I am not busy or anything.

So what is happening this week or what has happened the last week? Nothing to really write about. The snow is fun and I mean that. You know when it gets hot we will complain we don't have air-conditioner...but at least when it is cold we have heat...well, that's until they jack the prices and I can't afford a 400.00 bill. Our bill was OUTRAGEOUS last month!! I heard from others that theirs was really high also. I am Thankful we can provide right now but what about others?

So I hope this last week finds you all well and that the upcoming week you don't encounter any major hurdles.

I am Thankful For.....

My son Matthew...what an incredible kid..I am not just saying that because he is my kid but because his heart is so pure and gracious. He wakes up everyday in a great mood and he is always looking for ways to help anyone. He woke up early and was out shoveling for us and the neighbors. He has such a servants heart and inspires me daily to give just a bit more to others. He is trying to navigates through middle school which is becoming harder and harder each passing day. last night he was laying in bed with tears coming down wondering why he is picked on. How can you really give him an explanation? How can you be Christ like when all you want to do is call up these kids and give them an ear full? I can only build him up and give him the confidence he needs to navigate through this. Last night I was trying to figure out how to build him up and let him know that this is his safe place. I have decided that everyday 5 positives will flow freely from my mouth and hugs will be abundant.

I am Listening to.....

Olivia try to make Carter laugh because she just made him cry...now she is yelling to me that Carter is Happy because she made him happy..She is so rough with him..give it a few months and I sure UFC will be asking to videotape a here...Well, I just got back from being referee..Carter pulled her hair and Olivia decided to carry him out of the room..slamming the door to keep him out...well, his finger was still in...we have to have the door talk again...

What's for dinner?

I have no Idea...last night we had breakfast burritos..Tuesday Tacos..Monday BBQ chicken...tonight..?????

I am looking forward to....

Julies Birthday party!! what a fun night out with the girls celebrating such a wonderful women!! Olivia will be at Gramie's ( I am doing the HAPPY dance!) That's about as exciting as my life is getting...

I am Missing.... Simple days...the one kid days...I know it goes by fast and before I know it they will all be leaving me and then I can blog about how sad I am..but for now I am kind craving simple days..Oh and that Boy scout shirt!!

Heavy hearted...

I have been following this blog for about 3 weeks...You will need to go back and read...to really understand. You to will have a heavy heart...

Baby Cora..Oh, my heart breaks for mom and dad...

I really should be...

cleaning!! But here you go...one more...

I love these...

I have a social networking site that I have done slide shows on over the last years....and so I was going through them and I had to share...Some of these are my favorites...Look for all of them to be making an appearance...

The book for a better Life...

I have been letting the boys go places after school...not for along time but till dinner...then they must come home for dinner and do homework...

It is NOT working out so well...Homework is NOT getting done...They are calling last minute to be home later and by Wednesday they are so tired from the weekend and the weekend carrying over to the week...

Monday I put the Kibosh on it...You must come home do your chores and homework and then you can return to your 'social life" but work comes before play...

Yesterday Matthew comes home...jumps onto the computer...irritated I ask him what he thinks he is doing...he replies ' I have no homework" I said yes you do..Your bible study homework that is due in 30minutes...

He does it...Mikey does his...Then after dinner I told Matthew that because he had no homework he can go read...he begs me to let him play the computer..I say no...he argues...he gives me all the reasons he can't read...no book...not that good of a reader ( I would NOT tell your mom that or you will read) and then Mikey yells from the living room...

Mikey: Hey Matthew...go get your Book for a better Life..

Matthew: No Mikey...shut-up Mikey...

Me: what is this book your talking about?

Both: Are you joking? Are you being serious right now?

Me: yes....

Both; The Bible...

I was SOOO proud!

Addicited to TLC

No I am not talking about Tender Loving Care although that wouldn't be a bad thing to be addicted to...I am talking about the TV channel TLC...
I must be obsessed with the Duggar Family and Not really liking Jon and Kate but have to watch it just to see if she is still an uptight mama and then I watch Toddlers and Tiaras and who can't live with out the Little People Big World?

I record all of these....Last night I stayed up way to late watching the Duggars...I secretly wish I could handle that many kids...what a fun life for a child. My aunt had 8 kids. 1 girl and 7 boys in an 1200 square foot rambler with ONE bathroom. They survived..why because first when you cram that many people into a space you MUST learn and well because they had an awesome Cousin TT (wink, wink) but seriously....it makes my skin crawl when I hear Kate complaining about how she deserves this new big house and her kids need it...blah, blah, blah....and they just got not one puppy but TWO puppies...what are you thinking? You are going to lose your mind...you have 8 kids that still need help getting dressed and you go and get 2 puppies? Your a germ freak and your husband and kids are stressed out on every episode because of you..You have not figured out how to control everything what makes you think you can control 2 animals?

I know..I shouldn't judge I don't have 8 kids...but if I did they could visit me at the hospital and I will explain to them I need that jacket...it helps me hug myself.

On to the Duggars...OH MY!!! I love them....last week they went on a missions to El Salvador..dad took a few kids..HA! and mom stayed home with the younger ones...What this father teaches them is incredible...they all have servant hearts. Jim Bob (I LOVE that name) teamed up with the SOS ministries to help out an orphanage and a poverty stricken families...I love how she teaches self control and self discipline to all of her kids...and yes there house is big but the reason for it was because she wanted then to play inside and the kids still share bedrooms..one bedroom has 3 bunk bed sets...the dynamic of her and Kate are so extreme...

Okay...on to
Toddler and Tiaras... I have a daughter who love the stage...uses anything in our house create a stage and she is a princess..she had the princess shoes before she was 2...she has learned to run these Little heels. She loves to dress up! She can be found in the summer with only her tutu on swimming in her pool or jumping on the trampoline...

I have really thought about entering her into just one pageant...I don't know what kind or where they are but I feel as if she truly enjoys this then why can't that be her activity? I am not talking about spray tans, flapper teeth (fake ones for kids), wigs or eye make-up...I am talking about dressing up and showing talent, I am not sure what that talent would be...I have inquired into piano lessons for her..but whatever it maybe I don't think it is all that bad...now what the show portrays is HORRIBLE...we have moms who push their daughters way to far...we have girls crying and single moms with no money making 600.00 dresses!! I really feel as though this show gives you the worst...We don't have shows on the parents who sit on the sidelines of a baseball game yelling, cussing and throwing things (yes, I have seen it here in town) in frustration. Is that sad? Your darn right it is...but should we stray away from all activities? Should I sign my Miss America up for a pageant? I don't call her really thinking she will be Miss America but if you know my daughter you know that the name is fitting. So I guess...is there a big difference between pageants and getting the star role in a play? What is the difference? I mean if you child loves it what could it hurt? My Oldest loved karate...he was 2 belts away from black and had been studying since he was 3...and he was just not into it so we let him pull out..was that hard? YES!! We wanted to push him to continue..he was only 8..how could he really know what was the best for himself? As parents we did what we thought was best...and let him join the next activity...

My favorite on TLC is the Duggars...check out website...you can find some cool recipes and fun things.

Save me from my

to do list!!

Seriously..My life is spinning out of control..I need to breathe, regroup and prepare myself for the next 18 years...okay prepare for the next week...this must be how "good" moms do it...they simply are always prepared and planful...I am not either of them..however I am becoming more prepared every time I leave the house...you can only forget the bottle, formula or diapers only once. It can really put a kink in your plans if you have no food for your baby...trust me It has happened...

I do make sure I have a half a tank of gas at all times...I have a huge fear that if we needed to get out of here...I know I could make it somewhere and well, my darling husband drives his truck down to 1 mile before he has to fill up...My Awesome mini van doesn't have that cool feature ...you know the big "ding" hey stupid...fill up your tank ding...joking...but seriously it drives me nuts that if we had an emergency he would run out of gas waiting for gas...I on the other hand will be heading down the road....with my case of water that is always in my van..I don't have any food...well, does old fries that I swear never get moldy count!?

So here is what I don't get...how can people really think that we stay at home moms don't work? Now, don't get me wrong this is not a debate on if I think moms should work...you do what you have to do..I am SOOO not the one to judge...but you know the ones who give you that disapproving eye when you say you stay home...or the ones who want to know when you will be entering the workforce to get a real job. Oh, I have had some classic conversations with others over what I really do all day. People really think I lay on the couch and watch TV all day..and yes if you minus my Faceboook addiction I could be more productive but really 1 hour a day on here for the sake of sanity is really no big deal...I am not asking you to debate me on that! :)

But really...I wake up to the same thing everyday...messy house...I clean messy house...you can';t tell I cleaned messy house..I go to bed with clean house I wake up to messy house..I wake up to 2 loads of laundry I do 2 loads I go to bed with 3 loads...I vacuum in the afternoon...I should vacuum by bedtime..I Windex the slider and I Windex the slider again...I grocery shop Monday only to find myself back there by Thursday...really? can I plan for all of this? Can I be more diligent on my to do list?

Well...I should go tackle my ever growing to do list...and yes, I only make lists to feel organized...do Il ook at it everyday and cross stuff off? No...but maybe I should start then it would take away the "frazzled" feeling...

This will be as close as we get to Disneyland

We would love to take our family to Disneyland but a vacation for all 6 would leave us about 5000.00 in the hole...so what is better then hot, sunny, fun California? Nothing ! However I think the Playhouse Disney Live was worth it and so much fun I can't wait for the next "kid event"...maybe Dora?Thomas the train? Elmo? Oh, the list could go on and on..

We had so much fun with our BFF's....we stopped for lunch and the outlet mall on the way home and then went back to Jenn's for Dinner. She made us an awesome frozen pizza that Olivia loved and asked for pizza everyday after that for 2 weeks.

THANK YOU THANK YOU

Just wanted to give 3 cheers to EVERYONE who supported the Brooks family last Saturday!! We raised almost 400.00 for the family!!!

Two people are better then one,for they can help each other succeed. If one person fails , the other can reach out and help. But , if you are alone you are in real trouble. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Blah..blah..blah..

I know once again..It is not Thursday but I am going to do it anyways...another week with Tiffiny on a random day but calling it a Thursday...

Hope this week brings you just as much despair, heartache, joy and happiness as it did me...I guess you can tell by that thought that my week has been an emotional one..Blame it on PMS or blame it on some doctors diagnosis or you can just chalk it up to being a full-time mom and wife along with Gardner, garbage taker-outer, diaper servicer, Laundry maid, Chauffeur, bill payer, birthday planner...So I am sure you get the big picture..I am overwhelmed Super mom...

Saving one kid..one room..one husband..one chaotic day to the next...

So here is Your long awaited post...

I am Thankful for...My washer and dryer...Seriously...could even survive with out them? 6 people...2-3 loads a day..Mine are nothing fancy...they don't look like they could take you to space..my friend Jenn has these front loaders..holds like 16 pairs of jeans and they really do look like they can take you to space. I secretly wish mine would die so I can have new ones. My dishwasher...oh, how I love thee...You can do such amazing work..you make my kitchen always look clean...you run up to 4 times a day...I am forever grateful to you! You get the point...all these wonderful appliances..Thank you for running and NOT dying on me when I need you the most!!

I'm listening to...Olivia slurping Top Ramen..yep, lunch of champions or should I say crappy lunch!?! She begged..I didn't hesitate..

What's for dinner tonight....Pulled pork BBQ sandwiches...in the crock pot!! HA!! I bottle BBQ sauce I pork raost..Violla..Dinner for 2 nights!!

What I'm looking forward to...Dinner at The Keg..we have a gift certificate to use!! Bunko tonight...Sunday...my friend Jenn wants to treat me to girly day-Afternoon!!

Missing....a boy scout shirt...at least it is not the boy scout!!

Hopefully I can blog more later... I have so much to blog...I also have so much to be grateful for..Life comes at you everyday...life happens and when others step in and make it just a bit easier stop and tell them how much you really do love them...you know who you are (wink, wink)

Happy Birthday Mikey

I remember the day you where born..I was 16 and had just got a job a Dairy Queen the same day!! You where so little to me! I loved to show you off to all my friends. I would bring you to school for our family class and all the girls would hold you and snuggle with you. Before Matthew was born we would have you come stay with us. I can't believe you where only 3 when Matthew was born and already an uncle. Now my other kids call you "Brother-Uncle" HA!

I will never forget our trip to Disneyland and you proving to us you could swim because you hated the fact I made you wear your life jacket all the time. I laugh now when the only thing you remember from the trip was the Snickers bar we got you. Nope not Alcatraz or the Winchester mansion...just a snickers bar.

I remember that we could not carve pumpkins with out you. Matthew was heartbroken the first year we did not carve pumpkins with you.

I can't believe you are 16 today!! Your a bright young man with so much to offer. We are proud of you! I love being able to create memories with you....We love you Brother...May all your dreams come true and never settle for less then you deserve!!

I was having trouble uploading pictures..Will post some soon...

As long as he is

Happy..This has to be my parenting motto right now. Every night as I am making dinner..Carter decides he is just no into playing elsewhere. He must be in the kitchen right next to me. Pulling on my leg..throwing his arms up for me to hold him. I have tried to put him in his high chair but by the time dinner is done and I want to sit down and eat...he is wanting out. So I have always let him in the baggie cupboard , to play with the boxes....Needless to say the boxes have broken down and he wanted to see what was in them. I just let him...it bought me time to finish dinner and well...he was happy. That is how I parent right now...whatever makes you happy (within reason!) Carter!!

I found the perfect..

babysitter...Carter got this awesome little tent for his birthday. well, it is not so little. It can fit all 3 of my children. I can zip it up and if they are lucky I will throw crackers and water to them...I will use it as a reminder to all of them to be rule followers or they are going to "frogger Jail"!

Not me Monday's....

So it is "NOT me Monday" already!! What have I NOT done this week?
Well for starters It was NOT me who put the baby gate up to block my child from leaving his room..so I could get something done. Would this be considered a mean thing to do? Maybe since he wasn't a big fan of actually being locked into a space.
It was NOT me who waited last minute to do anything on Valentine's day for my family. It was NOT me who threw together a few homemade crafts. It was NOT me who thought I was the craftiest mom in the whole wide world after I did it in about 3 minutes.
It was NOT me who got behind on Carter's shots without really knowing I did.
It was NOT me who put off laundry all week and then it was NOT me who complained about it non-stop just to take the heat off my own procrastination.
It is NOT me who is addicted to Facebook stalking...hence the procrastination.
Ha!!

Thursday's with Tiffiny

This post actually made it on a Thursday!! We are doing great...I really didn't think it could be Thursday already...where did the week go? Seriously...my house is still a mess from last weekend.

So Lets get going on this really cool Thursday post..you should try it...it doesn't have to say Thursday's with Tiffiny..but that would be nice.

I am thankful for....I love this topic...It always reminds me of everything i have to be thankful for. Last week it was my Mom in law . I think every week between the people I love and my appliances I could never leave this topic empty. So what really moved my heart this week...well a few things...

My Friend Jenn never ceases to amaze me..she is always calm and no matter the situation the is always thinking ahead. She is so GIVING...She is just like a sister to me..She is always right there.

My Sister in law Brandy...ventured up here this week and took Liv for 2 sleeps!! I will blog on that later. But seriously, to just come take her for 2 days...this overwhelmed mom was mixed with emotions but very eager to take her up on it. Olivia will have so much fun with her cousin. Brandy is such a crafty, hands on mom and Jada's dad owns a pizza store so between them 2 things who wouldn't want to go? Olivia is convinced Jada has pizza every night....So thanks guys! I hope she is behaving....

I'm listening to...Micheal Jackson beat it is on the Sirius radio...HA! That is so funny..I am laughing to myself. I paused to actually listen so I can tell all of you and randomly this song is blaring from the living room. " it doesn't matter who is wrong or right..just beat it!"

What's for dinner tonight....Not sure..bacon and eggs last night..maybe meatball sandwiches.

What I'm looking forward to...It would have to be our fundraiser at the store...I can't wait to see what the Lord brings for this family. I love watching people give and I love giving. So I think this would have to be the highlight of my whole week! Stop in and see us!! To read about what we are doing..click here and read all about it!

Valentines day....I love having more kids for this holiday. I tucked "love notes' into the older boys bags...Hee-hee..Hey when your 12 and 15 you MUST love to get them...or be really embarrassed and be made fun of all day. oh, I hope that doesn't happen. It would suck knowing that your boy just got made fun of or punched because of a note...oh, now I am all nervous. Would it be bad to go try and steal them out of the bags?

Missing....A boy scout shirt...a size men's small..brown...has a troop number on it. If you see it could return it to the owner. Thanks!

Not Me Monday's

I know..it is Tuesday today...but I was busy this weekend and that carried over to Monday...So here is my Not me Monday...
It was NOT me who rolled over in bed to find a used diaper by my leg and as I sat up I did NOT find another one!
It was NOT me who went with the have whatever you want for dinner night 2 times last week. It was NOT me who convinced them cereal would be a good choice.
It was NOT me who donated Olivia's stuff animals that were NOT taking over our lives.
It is NOT me that still has her 3 year old convinced that the fry machine at McDonalds did NOT catch on fire and now we are not allowed to have fries.
It was NOT me who took the batteries out of 3 toys because they did NOT drive ME to the brink of insanity...
I did NOT yell at my children this week nor did I slam a cupboard.
It is NOT me who is so over this week already.

The Brooks Family

We all have the opportunity to help others in need. We all at one time in our lives have needed a helping hand. When it is placed on our hearts to give to those in need we must act on it! The story of the Brooks family had such an impact on me that I have laid in bed trying to figure out away to help this family. If you do not know the story Please Check it out. I have included the link at the end of this post.

Not only is random acts of kindness this week and Valentines day on Saturday it is a day that the Lord has made and we are all blessed by some measure of the Lord's good work in our lives.

Having had a medical issues over the last 3 years I know how hard it is to take are of small children while being in pain. My heart breaks for this young mom who not only has had to endure such a horrid assault but on top of that have 2 small girls who need special attention.
We can't not begin to imagine what this family must face on a day to day basis.

This Saturday on Valentine's day we are using the store to help this family. Every watch Battery sold and watch band we will Donate 5.00 to the family. We also carry jewelry at at the store watches, rings, bracelets, black hills gold, pendants and more.. and for every jewelry item sold this week 20.00 will go to the family.

We will also be accepting gifts for the family. That can be gift cards for groceries, gift cards for gas, gift cards to clothing stores...toys, diapers, clothes , books will all be accepted at the store. any kind of help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I know some of you have offered to do a few frozen dinners for the the family and send checks to me..Thank you so much for your Generosity

We are located behind Muddy water's Coffee stand...102 Grover Street #104 and will be open 9-4 on this Saturday.

Thank you in advance for including this family in your prayer's.

I am thankful...

That my "mini" Van has tinted windows..I have owned the same van for almost 10 YEARS!! It is not my ideal car but it is paid for and is still very very dependable and it serves it purpose to get from one place to the next..I don't need anything fancy to drive to the grocery store , bank and school..I would LOVE LOVE LOVE something fancy but times are tough and we really do Love our " mini" van...I know most of you are laughing that we call it a "mini' van because technically it is called a GMC Safari Truck..it is not a van..looks like one..seats 8 like one but it is NOT a van..I PAY more then Jeremy's Dodge truck in registration fee's every year..I have more tonnage..WHATEVER!! It is a van..looks like I could service something when I drive it...throw a ladder on the top and bam! instant repair chick!

Okay...back to the tinted window thing...I am so happy that you can't see my children hitting each other..throwing fries, picking their nose or just being kids...

MeSSy Cake = Good Times!

Happy Birthday Carter John...

My dear sweet Carter John,

One year ago today I was holding my tummy and wanting to meet your little face. I wished the pregnancy of carrying you was a little easier then it was. I was on bedrest for 18 weeks. I had a fear that I would never get to meet you and here we are 1 year later and you my son are my baby!!

You are laid back and love to snuggle with anyone. You could sit hours upon hours on a lap. You have learned to drink from a cup...stand in the bath tub ( naughty boy)...crawl super fast when we ask you what is in your mouth...put your finger in your mouth just to see me come running to give you the Heimlich.

You love to talk and can say momma, dadda, Matthew,Mikey,Dam (Sam our dog) and have yelling matches with your sister. You wear your pajamas most of the day and love music!! I can put you in a room and you will rock out to the Backyardigians CD

When dad comes home if he even thinks of taking off his shoes or hugging your sister before you you will throw a huge fit..throwing your self down on the floor and screaming.
You love it when the older boys rescue you from the church nursery...You will get so excited..the workers tell me that you are so happy.
yes, Carter John...You are such a delight to have in our house. Even if you still wake up 3 times a night and always need me to hold you. Your blue eyes, chubby little hands and long eye lashes make me fall in love with you everyday all over again. You will be my baby and even if the girls tease you for being a Mommy's boy..it will be okay because Mommy's boys are the marrying kind!
I could write about you all day...but I want you to know how much you complete my life...We were so excited you were a boy...having your name picked out for 7 years and finally getting our Carter John..the Lord knew the desire of our heart.....
Your dad and I can't get enough of you...you cry we hold..you gag..we come running..you laugh we laugh..you cry we feel...We love you to the moon , Son..

Did you know or do you know...

That my house was for rent!?! and do you know who put it for rent?
I have a feeling it was a certian boy's friend or friends...Wonder How much we Could get if it WAS for RENT!

Not Me Monday's

It is that time again for another week of " NOT ME! " Monday....Being honest about parenting and living to tell about it....

It was NOT me who said a naughty word in traffic the other day only to be told by my 12 year old that we should probably not say that around my 3 year old..Yes, good idea my son.

It was NOT me who told my Miss America that McDonald's fry machine had caught on fire and we could not go there...sorry, all out of fries.

It was NOT me who wanted to lose her mind at her sons first birthday parity because the present opening was out of control and I really thought I could go mental..It is NOT me who hates uncontrolled chaos.

It was NOT me who has NOT cleaned her house in 4 days...so I really should be getting off this computer!!

can't wait to read what YOU did NOT do this week!!
